Executive compensation levels set to soar in India The Times of India
India’s investment boom and steady demand for top talent signal executive pay rises in 2008, predicts Govind Iyer, a consultant at Egon Zehnder International, Mumbai. In significant growth areas like financial services, investment banking, private equity and real estate, compensation in India is already comparable to anywhere else in the world, notes Iyer. With talent on the move -sometimes cross-sector - firms need to focus on long-term retention strategies, he adds. Despite continued growth, industry looks set to remain the lowest paying sector in 2008, Iyer concludes.
